Materials we use
Silver components including earwires and pins are .925 sterling silver. Bali beads and Hilltribe silver handmade in Bali and Thailand, Swarovski leaded crystal from Austria, Czech glass, vintage glass, genuine semi-precious stones, glass lampwork beads handmade and kiln-annealed by artisans in the United States. Occasional other materials may be used.

Jewelry care:

Sterling silver beads and wire - We recommend using a polishing cloth. If you do choose to use silver cleaner, make sure to keep it away from any other materials in the work. We use .925 sterling silver wire and beads in our pieces. Frequent wear protects silver from tarnishing, which is caused by silver reacting with certain gasses in the air. To protect your silver from tarnishing when it’s not being worn, keep it in bags specially designed for silver storage, or otherwise prevent its contact with air. Plastic baggies may not look cool, but they do the trick!

Lampwork, crystal, glass & gemstone beads - Lampwork beads are made by hand on a steel rod in a flame. They are works of art and you can expect variations in designs. This quality displays their uniqueness and artistry. Use light soap and cloth as needed to keep them clean. Please note that crystals are fully leaded and it is not recommended they be handled by small children due to the chance of dust from breakage. It’s never a good idea to expose gemstone beads to harsh household chemicals or chlorinated pool water. The occasional splash with water or mild soap won’t hurt them, though, and most can be safely cleaned this way.

Pearls - Pearls can be gently cleaned with mild soap and water, but should be protected from contact with perfume, hairspray and other such chemicals. Frequent wear won’t harm pearls, but to reduce their contact with hairspray and such, make them the last thing you put on.

Turquoise - Over the years, as oil from your skin is absorbed by the stone, it will change color slightly.
